BBC’S The Real Merlin and Arthur | Llanuwchllyn Railway Station

The Real Merlin and Arthur was made for BBC Wales back in 2009 in which Colin Morgan and Bradley James travelled the length of Wales in search of Arthurian locations.

After (not!) visiting The Arthurian Collection in Mold the boys stopped at the Llanuwchllyn Railway StationThey took the train along the lake shore to the Bala station and back again, ‘To mix it up a bit…’

I recently found myself at the same station and couldn’t resist photographing the bench, much to the bewilderment of a station guard and a lady who worked in the cafe. I wanted to cross the tracks to get the perfect photo – like the screenshot – but I wasn’t allowed.

It appears the bench has now seen better days – ten years of better days!
